I am an environmental photographer and ceramicist based in Lutruwita/Tasmania. Through infrared and ultraviolet imaging, I trace the unseen contours of ecological change; stress, resilience, and environmental loss. My ceramics offer a grounded counterpoint; shaping earth as a quiet act of belonging. Together, these practices are gestures of witnessing and becoming; rooted in land, light, and care.

I am a professional environmental photographer and ceramicist based in Lutruwita/Tasmania, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2024. My photographic practice is driven by a deep personal connection to the landscapes I inhabit; particularly the fragile and contested ecologies of Tasmania. Through the use of infrared and ultraviolet imaging, I seek to render visible what often lies beyond human perception: the slow registers of ecological change, the hidden stress of plant life, and the spectral traces of environmental degradation and resilience. This work is both a scientific and emotional inquiry; a form of witnessing rooted in care, urgency, and reverence for the more-than-human world. My images aim not only to document change, but to evoke it: to invite feeling as well as knowing.

Alongside this, my ceramic practice offers a slower, tactile counterpoint; an embodied exploration of self, place, and material memory. Grounded in the earth of my surroundings, working with clay becomes a conceptual and physical act of locating myself within the environments I observe, shaping not only form but also identity through touch, process, and repetition. Together, these practices articulate a dual engagement with environmental witnessing and grounded being.

“My works are spectral testimonies; revealing the unseen, holding space for the fragile, and grounding ecological grief in touch, light, and land.”
